Dirk has 30 years of experience in the automotive, communications and manufacturing industries in Europe and Asia (China and India), at senior management levels, as well as at partner level in Venture Capital and Corporate Venture.

After 14 years with Siemens where his last post was CEO & President of Siemens Venture Capital, he joined PolyTechnos Venture Partners in 2001. From 2009 to 2011, Dirk was Executive Chairman of Kistler China Ltd., guiding the Greater China operations of Kistler AG of Switzerland through a phase of tremendous growth, organically and via acquisitions.

Luc is Founder and President of Sagax, a venture capital firm focused on early stage investment and advisory services. Through his various roles across both major industry players and investors, he has been involved in over 100 investments and 30 NASDAQ IPOs in the last 25 years.

Luc is also Secretary General France for Green Cross International, a leading environmental organisation founded by Mikhail Gorbachev in 1993. He holds an MSc from Ecole Centrale de Paris.

Alex, a Sao Paolo resident, is Founder and Managing Partner at AKIT Partners, an M&A, investment and entrepreneurship advisor in the Brazilian market.

He was previously Founder and Managing Director at Polics, a Brazilian SAP full service provider, later integrated into Politec, Brazil’s largest IT Group, where he retained a role as Executive Vice President.

He also formerly held roles as Executive Director at gedas do Brasil and Business Development Manager at GE Information Services. Alex holds an MBA from College des Ingenieurs in France.

David, originally from the UK but now a Bahrain resident, is Co-Founder and Managing Partner at DSC Solutions, an M&A, private investment and consulting advisor in the MENA region.

He was previously the CEO of The First Investor, a leading investment bank in Qatar, that invests throughout the Middle East, Europe and the Americas. Focus was corporate finance, asset management and real estate.

He also held roles as Group Chief Financial Officer at the publicly quoted regional telco Batelco and as Managing Director of Corporate Finance at Arab Banking Group. Both based in Bahrain. Before that he was Managing Director and Co-Head of Asia-Pacific Telecom Investment Banking at Deutsche Bank, based in Tokyo. David holds an MBA from the Manchester Business School in the UK.

Mike, an experienced business leader working with high growth, PE/Venture-backed companies, has many years’ experience as a technology entrepreneur and Venture Capital investor. He has a track record of delivering transformation, revenue growth and increased shareholder value across EMEA, UK, US and Asia.

He is partner at CE Capital, a re-structuring advisor focused on Central and Eastern European companies, and was previously a Director at Interregnum Venture Capital. Mike is currently Chairman of Executive Grapevine and was previously Chairman of Scali, acquired by IBM, and of Exie, acquired by UNIT4, as well as spending two years as CEO of Allinea. He has held senior positions at various US and European EDA software start-ups.

Gareth has spent 17 years transforming and significantly growing small and medium size enterprises. Having raised over $100M in private equity funding and completed five successful trade sales and one IPO.

He brings more than 25 years’ experience in developing sales channels to companies such as Google, Apple, Samsung, Vodafone, IBM, Accenture, EDS, Oracle, JD Edwards, SAP, Microsoft and HP
and has worked throughout Europe, Middle East, Africa, China and the US.

He was educated at the London School of Economics having spent his early career in accountancy and has since held leadership roles at a range of firms including Unicru, NextVenue, Future Media, etc.

Ian has worked in the financial services and high-growth potential technology space since 1992. He has led fund raisings, senior executive searches, investments and software development.

During this time he has built an enormous network of contacts across the high-growth potential technology space and within established large technology companies. Some 10,000+ senior contacts know him for his investment, recruitment and capital raising activities.

Ian is currently the COO of Tipico, a market leader for in on/offline sports betting, with a particularly strong position in the German market with over 750 betting shops throughout the country. Prior to Tipico, Ian had a very successful career leading CxO and Board level recruitment projects for growth companies across the TMT space. Whilst an Executive Director with Russell Reynolds, one of the world’s leading blue-chip executive search firms, he won awards for the effectiveness of his work and successful results it generated for his clients.

Before embarking on a career in search, Ian worked for 9 years in and around the private equity and VC industry as both an investor and adviser with Go4Venture. He completed many capital raising projects for high-growth potential technology companies across Europe and has a 100% success rate in terms of raising money for his clients, some of whom have gone on to large exits.

Ian’s early career was in software development and research which culminated in him gaining a PhD for his work from Imperial College, London. His first degree was in Natural Sciences from Cambridge University.

Stuart has 10 years’ experience in pharmaceutical research and development within Eli Lilly in the UK and the USA, plus 15 years’ international experience at senior levels, in technical sales, business development, marketing and management.

Stuart holds board positions as well as co-founding companies in informatics, biotechnology and diagnostics. He has invested in a number of start-up companies in Scandinavia and the US as well
as offering commercial and technology consultancy to companies in the US and Europe.

Stuart has developed a wide international business network and has established a respected reputation in the life science research community. This experience has left him with a unique insight into successfully commercializing solutions blending informatics, instrumentation, reagents, as well as a company expertise ranging from products to services.

Andrew is a Founder and Managing Partner at Lamiel Partners, a corporate finance advisory boutique that assists small and midsize Healthcare companies with their M&A, Financing and / or Business Development needs.

Andrew regularly holds roundtable events with key decision makers in the healthcare space to discuss various topics of interest. Previous attendees have included decision makers from JNJ, GSK, BMS, Pfizer, Eli Lilly, Forbion Capital, Omnes Capital and many others.

Prior to founding Lamiel Partners, Andrew worked as a corporate finance advisor at Landmark Ventures, Go4Venture, BNP Paribas and Messier Partners focused on the Healthcare and TMT sectors.

He holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Finance and International Business from the NYU Stern School of Business and speaks 6 languages.

Vic Morris, a software industry veteran was previously the Chief Executive Officer of Vordel Limited, sold to Axway in 2012. Prior to that, as a Principal of Atlas Venture he was responsible for enterprise software investments in the UK, and held several board including Director of Magicalia Limited, Director of Confetti Network Ltd. and Director of Altio Limited.

Before Atlas, he was involved in both creating and managing the European operations of several rapidly growing software companies. He has worked extensively in the US including the role of Senior Vice President of International Operations of Cullinet Software in Boston MA and Vice President of Marketing of NetDynamics Inc. in Palo Alto CA. In the UK he served as Vice President and General Manager of European Operations of Powersoft Inc and Vice President of European Marketing of Sybase. He received a BSc. in Physics from Bristol University and completed the Advanced Management Program (AMP) at Harvard Business School.

Pierre spent more than 17 years in various senior management positions in Investment Banking at Deutsche Bank in London and Frankfurt with responsibilities for venture investing, equities
trading, hedge funds and risk management. These roles included Managing Director at Deutsche Bank’s Capital Venture Partners, European Head of Managed Funds, Deputy Head of Equities (FFM),
Global Head of Risk Management Advisory Group and Head of Global Risk Management Group.

He was Partner of ABS Ventures which acquired most of Deutsche Bank’s venture portfolio (80 companies) through an MBO. ABS Ventures is among the world’s best performing secondary funds.

Pierre had been on the board of over 20 successful private companies in the US and Europe, among others: Adeptra (London), Clearforest (NewYork), end2end (Aalborg), Execution (London), Gomez (Boston), Inxight (Santa Clara), RiskMetrics (New York), Trema (Stockholm), Webperform (London), Wstore (Paris) and Xyleme (Paris).

Pierre is an owner and General Partner of PRE AG, an international investment advisor for single and portfolio venture assets. He is a board member and chairman of Investment Committee of Acorus Capital, a Hong Kong based Private Equity firm focused on Sub Saharan tech and infrastructure investments.
